Plan with the details in view
A fee-free state renewal still requires a filing.
The domestic LLC form lists $135 by mail or $155 for online and expedited in-person filing. Confirm the submission route and separate FormLLC charges before authorizing formation work.
Minnesota’s renewal form gives a December 31 deadline. The Secretary of State says annual renewals begin in the calendar year after the original filing. Identify the company’s current renewal year.
An active LLC in good standing has no state annual-renewal fee. An administratively dissolved record needs reinstatement with an applicable fee. Name, office or agent changes require the appropriate amendment document.
How to continue
Preparing the filing comes down to four steps, from your first details to a confirmed filing.
Tell FormLLC whether you need a new LLC, registration from elsewhere, a renewal or a company change.
For an existing entity, prepare the exact business name, file number and last renewal confirmation.
Distinguish routine renewal from an amendment or reinstatement, then confirm the service and separate charges.
Keep the filing result and assign responsibility for later renewals and other business obligations.

Know which filing you need
An inactive company and an active company do not use the same next step.
A state renewal maintains the company record. Tax returns, permits and internal business records remain separate tasks.

The Articles of Organization form lists $135 for mail filing and $155 for online or expedited in-person filing. These are state charges, separate from the FormLLC service.
The state says renewal begins in the calendar year after the original filing and is required each calendar year. The renewal form gives December 31 as the filing deadline.
There is no state renewal fee for an active entity in good standing. FormLLC support is a separate service. A dissolved record may require reinstatement and an applicable state charge.
The state’s LLC forms guidance directs name, registered-office and agent changes to an amendment form. Identify the exact change rather than treating renewal as an all-purpose company update.
The state instructions allow searching inactive records. Reinstatement must be addressed before an inactive entity can file an amendment; eligibility also depends on the record and name availability.
