The entity type determines the reporting year and state filing charge.
Iowa lists $50 for a domestic LLC Certificate of Organization. An existing out-of-state LLC uses a different registration statement, listed at $100. Provider services and other requested documents are separate costs.
Iowa LLCs file biennial reports in odd-numbered years, during the January 1–April 1 filing window. For-profit corporations use even-numbered years. Check the entity category before adding a deadline to your calendar.
The LLC biennial report costs $30 through Fast Track Filing or $45 by mail or in person. The state publishes different treatment for corporations and nonprofits; do not apply the LLC charge to every entity.

For an established business, bring the legal name, business number and relevant filing history.

Keep the accepted document and receipt with company records, and assign responsibility for the next reporting window.
