Plan with the details in view
Ordinary LLC charges and timing should not be assumed to cover every entity or requested change.
The Illinois LLC forms schedule lists $150 for standard Articles of Organization and $150 for an out-of-state LLC’s Application for Admission. These are different filings; FormLLC service fees and optional processing are additional.
The standard LLC annual report filing fee is $75. The official guide places the deadline before the first day of the LLC’s anniversary month, rather than at that month’s end. Confirm the date for the actual entity.
The online report instructions require a separate filing to change the registered agent or registered office. Identify the requested change before treating an annual report as the complete task.
How to continue
Preparing the filing comes down to four steps, from your first details to a confirmed filing.
Describe whether you want a new Illinois LLC or registration for a company that already exists in another jurisdiction.
For a current entity, prepare its legal name, file number, status and reporting history.
Distinguish the report from agent, name or other changes needing a separate filing. Confirm the accepted service and costs.
Retain the accepted filing and receipt, then plan the next report alongside separate tax, licensing and internal-record work.

Know which filing you need
Illinois separates routine reporting from certain company updates.
Ask for the specific document or problem you need addressed; a routine report is not an all-purpose company repair.
Questions answered
Discuss the intended company and operating locations with FormLLC. The accepted scope will set out the formation support, information needed and separate service, state and third-party charges.
The state’s forms schedule lists $150 for standard Articles of Organization. Optional processing, provider services and other documents are separate. Do not assume a series LLC or another entity uses the same complete cost.
The official LLC guide says before the first day of the anniversary month. Use the entity’s actual anniversary month; do not wait until that month ends.
The published standard filing fee is $75. Confirm any current penalties, processing charges or entity-specific additions separately from the FormLLC service fee.
Illinois directs an agent or registered-office change to a separate online filing or Form LLC-1.36/1.37. The annual report alone should not be treated as completion of that change.
First review the foreign-registration route. Illinois uses an Application for Admission for an out-of-state LLC; creating a new entity and registering the existing one are different decisions.
